Support for Community Response

Team members

SCR personnel structure is comprised of an advisory board, programme staff, volunteers and community members.

Advisory Board

Decision-making in regard to programme planning and implementation at SCR is done by a board of technical advisors drawn from highly experienced professional and academics in the fields of relief, community development, water technology, health and nutrition; and microenterprise development. The board meets twice a year and holds ad hoc meetings when need arises. The board works to ensure that all programme activities meet high standards of professionalism and that the mission and vision of SCR are respected.

Programme Staff

SCR programme staffs have high academic and training qualification in Project Planning and Management, Public Health, Applied Human Nutrition, Agriculture & Livestock development, Home Economics and Agricultural Extension. They have extensive experience gain locally and internationally with reputable organizations working in relief, health and community development programmes.

Volunteers and Interns

SCR recognizes the need to mentor young professionals and granting them an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field. Whenever opportunity arises, SCR takes on board interns and volunteers to assist in specified areas. Performance of interns is guided by clear TORs and proper supervision from a senior member of staff. Working terms may vary depending on the assignment, location and available funding.
